SCAN Health 2025-2026 Annual Report: The Path

A Message from Dr. Anne Snowdon:

This Annual Report celebrates the Community of Practice’s achievements to advance healthcare supply chain resilience, contribute to system optimization to improve patient outcomes, workforce sustainability and economic recovery.

The Community of Practice solutions have now been compiled into a Healthcare Supply Chain Resilience Toolkit that provides teams with the resources to strengthen supply chain resilience and management of supply disruptions. We are now working with our partners in the Atlantic Consortium, a collaboration between Atlantic health systems and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), to implement the solutions to better manage supply disruptions. Through data sharing and transparency, supply chain teams can reduce risks to patients and the workforce and engage clinicians to inform decisions to improve equitable access to care that supports the health and safety of every Canadian.

I am indebted to our partners and citizens for the endless hours and perspectives you have contributed to advance supply chain resilience so that every Canadian can equitably access the care they need, when and where they need it.
